about me

I am a performer, actress, movement educator and cultural worker.

I explore my relation to movement and the surroundings through the lense of the sensing body.

I study under Berlin-based dancer and choreographer Minako Seki and run community projects with a dance collective improv for dance enthusiasts in Reykjavik.

artistic practice

In my artistic practice I focus on the sensing body and its impulse for the movement - wethear expressed directly though the body or extending though different mediums such as poetry, photography, music.

educator

As an educator, I focus on a sharing approach, where I try to hold a safer environment for the exchange to happen - between facilitators and participants, going both ways.

I use circular talks and safer space guildlines.

With the workshop participants, we dive into individual movement and sensing research, following excercises based in Butoh Dance, Somatic Practices, Contemporary Dance Practices, Art Therapy Tools.

We work with objects, use meditation and visualisation techniques that are sometimes prerecorded and accompanied by soundscapes from the outside.

I collaborate with musicians that create a special soundscape in the room using field recordings and electro-acoustics.

community projects

My current artistic and proffesional work revolves around building local community projects in an international and multinational context.

In 2023, with my collective, Improv for Dance Enthusiasts, we facilitated a community project incorporating movement and stage improvistion, which culminated with a public showing in Reykjavik - This is a Good Place.

In 2024 and 2025, with Dance Enthusiasts, we will introduce:

1. REFLECT which is a continuation of the previous community project but taken into international collaboration with Polish partner from Warsaw - FSW.

2. LEAF which introduces performative methods as an activists tool in an ecological context. The project will be a collaboration with a Nurt Foundation from Poland.

With my theatre group Glitzky, we are in the initial phase of a project OVERSEAS, in which we will use theatre and movement practices to run workshops with migrants, focusing on holding safer space for refugees and asylum seekers.
